Principal
Greetings:
I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as the principal of Liberty-Curtin Elementary and Woodward Elementary Schools. I grew up in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania where I graduated from Wilson High School, in West Lawn, PA. After high school, I attended Lock Haven University and obtained a bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education. I earned a Masters of Education degree and a K-12 Principal Certification from California University of Pennsylvania. I am entering my 24th year in education. I have been working in the Keystone Central School District since 2003. Throughout my professional career at KCSD, I served as a Health and Physical Education teacher at the elementary and high school levels. Most recently, I served as an Assistant Principal at Central Mountain Middle School for 3 years and as an elementary principal for the past 2 years at Liberty-Curtin Elementary and Renovo Elementary Schools.
I strongly believe in the power of collaboration between the school and home. As parents and guardians, your involvement plays a crucial role in your child's academic success. I encourage parents and guardians to actively participate in your child's education by joining the PTO, attending school events, and volunteering throughout the school year. Together, we can create a supportive community that empowers our students to flourish.
I am looking forward to a fantastic year filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences. Let us work together to make this academic journey a remarkable one for each child.
Sincerely,
Brett Umbenhouer Principal
